About the item
The Antropovarius Lounge Chair is an exceptionally expressive armchair in which comfort, technology, and sculptural design fully merge. The black leather finish reinforces the technical character and gives the design a powerful, almost automotive appearance.
About design and history
The Antropovarius was developed in 1982 based on the human spine. The adjustable back consists of separate segments that follow and support the body. Together with the Institute of Ergonomics at the Technical University of Munich, Porsche investigated various seating positions and body profiles. Steel, carbon fiber, and adjustable elements combine to form a particularly advanced ergonomic system.
