The Saarinen Conference chair is a very comfortable chair, thanks to its curved backrest that merges into the armrest.
In the early 1940s, Eero worked with Charles Ray Eames on bending veneer.
Saarinen had a taste for it and also became interested in bending other materials. From 1946 to 1950 he developed and perfected the Conference armchair, a particularly elegant chair. The seat is made of plywood and the curved back of molded polyurethane.
The chairs are one of the first productions and produced by none other than De Coene Kortrijk.
The De Coene brothers stood for top quality and pure craftsmanship, which is why they became producers for a very large part of the Koll Collection in the mid-1950s.
The Eero Saarinen chairs were reupholstered in silky soft green velvet by a master in his profession, so they can start a second life.
Equipped with the original emblems "Knoll Exclusive made in Belgium".
NEW PRICE PER SEAT: 2000€ to 4500€ / per seat.
