His first product for Herman Miller was the Burdick Group System, a unique assembly of work surfaces, paper handling and storage elements, and electronic equipment supports placed along a structural fixture in whatever configuration best suits the way people work.
The Burdick system is on permanent display at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.
In 1980, the Burdick Group received design awards from the Institute of Business Designers and the Industrial Designers Society of America. The following year, Time magazine named the Burdick Group system one of the best of 1981 for industrial design.
The desk is equipped with glass tops that give the desk an exclusive and sober appearance.
The desk is also equipped with a handy drawer unit and organized system to process cables in the frame so that they are not visible.
Really a TOP ITEM and a personal favorite.
