About the item
This special table lamp by Carlo Nason for Mazzega combines a grey glass base with a glossy chrome rim and three Murano glass spheres. The rounded volumes give the lamp an elegant, sculptural presence, both when lit and when standing in the room as an object.
About design and history
The lamp dates from the 1960s, a period in which Italian design experimented extensively with glass, light, and new sculptural forms. The three glass spheres create a soft interplay of light and reflection, while the understated grey and chrome give the design a refined, almost futuristic appearance.
