About design and history
The Beaubourg was developed in 1976 for the future Centre Pompidou in Paris , in dialogue with the revolutionary architecture of Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers. The furniture was part of a total concept in which even the interior reflected the visible technical structure of the building. The design was selected under the direction of none other than Jean Prouvé . This version with wheels is the rare office chair variant of the Beaubourg concept.

About the designer and maker
Michel Cadestin designed the furniture program for the Centre Pompidou. The series was published by TEDA and manufactured by Georges Laurent . Due to this exceptional provenance, original Beaubourg chairs are of particular interest to collectors of French design today.

About fitness
The chair is in good vintage condition . The black upholstery has developed a beautiful natural patina that perfectly complements its authentic seventies character.
