The LC2 armchairs , also known as the Grand Confort, petit modèle , were designed in 1928 by the world-famous architect and designer Le Corbusier (in collaboration with Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand). To this day, they remain among the most iconic pieces of furniture of the 20th century.
Le Corbusier himself described the LC2 as a "cushion basket" : a sleek, geometric frame of chromed steel encloses the soft, leather-covered cushions. This contrast between hard structure and inviting padding makes the chair simultaneously minimalist and luxurious.
The black leather upholstery gives this set a timeless elegance, making it a perfect fit for both modern and classic interiors. Despite their sleek appearance, the LC2s offer exceptional comfort: the deep seat and well-filled cushions follow the body's natural posture, providing relaxation and support.
This set of two original Cassina LC2 armchairs is signed and is in exceptionally beautiful condition .
