This beautiful Egg Chair was designed by a top architect Arne Jacobsen in 1958 for the Danish manufacturer Fritz Hansen.
After Arne Jacobsen designed the entire SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, he got the opportunity to design the interior and furniture.
The iconic Egg Chair was designed as seating furniture in the lobby and reception areas of the hotel.
The armchair is considered a true work of art.

The chair's flowing soft shapes make it very attractive and inviting to linger in.
The final production model consists of a tub of sturdy foam & is covered with fabric or leather.
This was exceptional & very innovative in the 50's.

The upholstery of the cockpit is still done by hand to this day.
