Radiophonograph Cubo RR226 Limited Edition by Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Brionvega, 2008

About the item
The Brionvega RR226 is much more than a music system. This limited edition from 2008 combines a turntable, CD player, radio, amplifier, and speakers in one impressive sculptural object. With only 300 units produced, this is a particularly exclusive version.

About design and history
The RR226 builds upon the legendary Radiofonografo that Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni designed for Brionvega in the 1960s. The original design dates back to 1965 and became famous for its geometric shape and movable speaker cabinets. The 2008 version translates that icon into modern audio technology, featuring, among other things, a Pro Ject turntable and CD player.
