The one and only Artichoke Pendant lamp by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen, 1958s. Designed for the Langelinie Pavillonen restaurant in the heart of Copenhagen
The brushed stainless steel leaves form unique rows of leaves that were made entirely by hand.
They illuminate the luminaire and emit diffused light with a unique pattern.
Spicy anecdote: the PH Artichoke unfortunately also attracted thieves. A few years ago, in 2009, one went to the Langelinie Pavilionen restaurant with five original fixtures. Fortunately, the police managed to trace the stolen designs via Ebay and bring them back to their home.
