The one and only Artichoke Pendant lamp by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen, 1958s Designed for the Langelinie Pavillonen restaurant in the heart of Copenhagen
The 72 accurately placed brushed stainless steel leaves form 12 unique rows of six leaves that were completely hand-made.
They illuminate the luminaire and emit diffused light with a unique pattern.
This is a rare first edition from 1958.
Spicy anecdote: the PH Artichoke unfortunately also attracted thieves. A few years ago, in 2009, one went to the Langelinie Pavilionen restaurant with five original fixtures. Fortunately, the police managed to trace the stolen designs via Ebay and bring them back to their home. This is your chance to get a unique original copy! WOW!!
