Original early edition Sarfatti chandelier by Gino Sarfatti for Arteluce.
This iconic Sarfatti chandelier was designed in 1958 by Gino Sarfatti for Arteluce and later became part of the Flos collection. This iconic chandelier is undoubtedly one of Gino Sarfatti's absolute masterpieces, originally conceived as an ultra-modern interpretation of the classic chandelier – perfectly in line with the innovative spirit of the 1950s and 1960s.
Sarfatti is considered one of the founders of modern Italian lighting design. In 1939, he founded his own lighting company, Arteluce , with which he introduced groundbreaking designs that combined technology and aesthetics in an innovative way. The lamp went into production in 1962 and quickly became a timeless design object. In 1973, Gino Sarfatti sold Arteluce to Flos and retired. He died in 1985, but his influence on the design world is still felt today.
This example is the silver-colored early edition from Arteluce , equipped with 30 light points that create an impressive and sculptural lighting effect. The delicate arms and perfectly composed structure create an airy yet monumental presence, making the chandelier a powerful architectural statement both day and night.
The Sarfatti pendant lamp has become a true design icon : a timeless, elegant, and exceptional chandelier that still holds a prominent place in the Flos catalog and in international design history. A highly coveted collector's item that instantly transforms any dining room, hallway, or loft.
