The LT327 is both a table lamp and a vase, a fusion of functionality and sculptural beauty that perfectly captures the visionary spirit of the 1970s.
The design consists of two hand-blown glass elements: a transparent upper dome that serves as a vase or decorative reservoir, and a light gray lower diffuser that subtly and warmly diffuses the light. Together, they create an intriguing balance between clarity and softness—between the glass that captures light and the glass that filters it.
Carlo Nason (b. 1935), a scion of one of Murano's oldest glassmaking families, is known for his experimental approach to traditional craftsmanship. His work for Mazzega is characterized by clean lines, modular thinking, and a subtle sense of atmosphere. The LT327 embodies all of this: an object that appears sculptural and luminous by day, and in the evening radiates a soft, dreamy glow, perhaps enhanced by a bouquet of fresh flowers above.
This example is in exceptionally beautiful, original condition, with only minimal signs of age that emphasise its authentic character.
