About the item
This set of two LC2 armchairs , also known as Grand Confort, petit modèle , is one of the absolute icons of 20th-century furniture design. The chrome frame encloses the soft black leather cushions, creating that instantly recognizable balance between architecture and comfort.
About design and history
The LC2 was designed in 1928 and presented in Paris a year later. Revolutionary was the way the load-bearing structure was deliberately made visible: the frame is located on the outside, while the cushions lie freely within the structure. A radically clear concept that still looks modern almost a century later.
About the designer and maker
The design originated from the collaboration between Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand . Cassina later officially put their furniture collection into production and made these designs an essential part of modern design history.
About fitness
Both armchairs are in exceptionally beautiful condition . The black leather and chrome-plated steel have been preserved with particular care. Both pieces are signed. The stated price applies to the set of two.
