The BT lamp is an exceptionally minimalist lighting object in which technology, interaction, and sculpture merge. The two small light points are magnetically placed on the metal surface and can be moved freely, allowing the user to help shape the design.
About design and history
Designed in 1971, the BT perfectly embodies the experimental spirit of Italian design from that period. Magnets, metal, and fine wiring are not hidden, but consciously become part of the aesthetic. The technology thus becomes the design itself, radically simple and surprisingly playful.
About the designer and maker
The lamp was designed by Gianni Gamberini and Studio ARDITI for Sormani Nucleo . Their BT series belongs to the experimental Italian lighting of the early 1970s and is particularly interesting today for collectors of Radical Design.
About fitness
The lamp is in exceptionally beautiful vintage condition . The original box is also present, making this rare piece particularly complete and collectible.
