Tobia Scarpa Jucker table lamp for Flos, 1960's

This Jucker table lamp is a design by none other than Tobia Scarpa for Flos in the early 1960s. Tobia Scarpa was commissioned to design the first lamps for FLOS together with Pier Castiglioni, including this lamp.


Tobia Scarpa was born in Venice, Italy in 1935 . He is the son of the famous architect and designer Carlo Scarpa .

Together with his wife Afra Bianchinn , they opened their own design agency in Montebelluna , about 60 km from Venice. The couple designed for Gavina, B&B Italia, Cassina, Meritalia, Benneton, Fabbian, Veas, San Lorenzo and many other companies.

Tobia was also a teacher at the School of Industrial Design in Venice. Afra and Tobia Scarpa have won numerous awards for their designs and their projects are exhibited in museums worldwide.
