Center Pompidou Sleigh chairs, 1976

Set of 6 modern wire chairs designed by Michel Cadestin and Georges Laurent exclusively designed for the famous Center Pompidou in Paris in 1976.


Michel Cadestin took part in the important design competition for which chair in the Center Pompidou would be used, Jean Prouvé who was head of the design committee chose this chair as the winning model and thus belonged to the permanent furniture of the Center Pompidou.

These chairs have never been commercialized and are specifically made for the Center Pompidou.

The chairs are made of galvanized steel wire with a natural saddle leather seat.

These are museum pieces and real collector items, the chance of seeing them somewhere is very small. The chance of buying it is even smaller!
